We extend our sympathy to Shirley Myers & family following the passing of Bill Myers on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Spring Grove – William Allen Myers, age 73, passed away at UPMC Hanover Hospital on January 9, 2021. He was the loving husband of Shirley M. (Dutrow) Myers.

 

William was born in York on September 4, 1947 and was the son of the late Clair Allen and Barbara (Livingston) Myers. He graduated from Spring Grove Area High School Class of 1966. He was a member Dover Assembly of God Church, and also served on the board. He enjoyed raising and taking care of his pigs as the Proud owner of HillBilly’s Yorkshires. He was also an avid golfer and bowler. William was inducted in the Bowling Hall of Fame, was on the board of the United States Bowling Congress, and also taught youth bowling.

 

In addition to his wife Shirley, William is survived by his daughters Kathy J. Crider and husband Joe, Kelly J. Reinhold, Karen J. Ahern and husband Ray, and Kimmy J. Sanger and husband Dan; his stepson Harry Portner and wife Bonnie; his stepdaughter Tina Connatser and husband Randy; his 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his brothers Edward and Fred Myers; and many nieces and nephews.

 

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00-11:00AM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St. Spring Grove PA 17362. The service will be held privately by the family. Interment will follow at Trinity Roth Cemetery.

 

Due to COVID-19 guidelines and in compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending the viewing will be required to wear masks and social distance. Attendance inside the funeral home will be limited to 20 people at a time.
