It’s that time again! Time to plan for our annual Women’s Conference. This year it will be held at the Giant Center. It is scheduled for Nov, 10-11. VBS is scheduled July 10-14 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Our goal this year is to reach as many children in our community as possible. The theme for 2017 is “Maker Fun Factory”. In order for this to be a success we will need your help! There are several sign up sheets listing all the areas of our need outside the upper nursery. Once you sign up, our leadership team will be in contact with you as we plan for this tremendous outreach!

We have chosen the book “When I Lay My Isaac Down” by Carol Kent. The cost for each book is $6.00. Please sign up at the women’s table if you want to join in this reading group. Please indicate if you would like a book. This summer’s reading is a “read on your own” book and we will meet for dinner and discussion on Mon. Aug 14 at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall. We will distribute the books on Sun. June 11.

Beginning Mon. Sept. 11, from 7:00—8:00 pm, the women will begin a study using the book “Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyers. If you would like to join this study, please sign up at the women’s table and indicate if you would need a book. See you in the Fall!

Due to the increasing deterioration of our parking lot and the lack of drainage causing large bodies of water to interfere with parking and walking, the leadership has decided to repave the front half of our lot and install drainage between the paved surface and the gravel. Due to the condition of our current lot and the scope of work involved, this is going to be a large project.

Also, the current roof on the parsonage is in dire need of replacing. In order to prevent further and more extensive damage to the roof, we have decided to have it replaced as well.

Neither of these projects were considered when establishing our current budget. The severity of their conditions have caused us to address them at this time.

In order to be able to fund these issues, we will be having a Faith Promise Campaign. We will explain that further in our church services. We believe that these issues are necessary at this time and trust God to be able to provide the funds that we will need. Thank you for your prayers and support as we step out in faith.

As the nice weather finally arrives, the outside of our church is in need of some spring cleaning and sprucing up. Since everyone’s schedule is different, instead of having one day to clean, we are asking for your help on your time schedule. If you are able to volunteer some time to rake, weed, mulch or plant flowers, please sign up in the lower foyer. Let us know what you will need and we will supply it when you come. Thank you in advance for your help!

Thank you to everyone who has been and is currently on our meal ministry! You may never know the blessing you are to one another at times when our church family members are recovering from surgery or illness, etc.

Gladys Johnston, who heads up this ministry, is always in need of more volunteers to make meals (if you cannot drop the meal off, let Gladys know and she will make arrangements for that). Another way you can help greatly with this ministry is by monetary donation. We try to keep a small meal ministry fund for times that we need to purchase a meal for someone so if you feel led to help in that way, please mark your check or envelope with ‘meal ministry fund.’ Thank you and Lord Bless!

Heb 6:10
10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. NIV
